Krillion Scoring
Understand Funooy’s six fixed rarity tiers, points, depth and special scoring rules in Krillion-style trivia.
Last updated: 2026-10-31
Every correct answer has a rarity tier for its question. The six tiers award 4, 8, 16, 32, 64 or 100 points; each point takes you 10 metres deeper.

Fixed ratings for each question
Rarity comes from Funooy’s preset answer list for the question. Today’s answer counts do not recalculate your tier. Different spellings of the same recognised answer share its rating.
| Rarity | Points | Depth |
|---|---|---|
| Plankton | 4 | 40 m |
| Too clever | 8 | 80 m |
| Schooler | 16 | 160 m |
| Rare | 32 | 320 m |
| Deep cut | 64 | 640 m |
| One in a krillion | 100 | 1,000 m |
Scoring details
- A correct answer without a preset rarity rating earns the common tier: 4 points and 40 metres.
- An incorrect, excluded, skipped or timed-out answer earns 0 points.
- Answering faster does not add a speed bonus. Submit within the 25-second question timer.
- Seven 100-point answers produce the seven-question maximum: 700 points and 7,000 metres.
Worked examples
A 16-point answer adds 160 metres. Follow it with a 64-point answer and your total is 80 points and 800 metres. A later 0-point answer keeps that depth unchanged.
